Developing Distributor Relationships

Our role in the world is helping everyone, including ourselves, to work closer together to generate business for mutual benefit. It’s really quite simple and this has always been at the heart of everything we do.

We have recently read the Harvey Mackay (Outswimming The Sharks guy) article in the Minneapolis paper titled, “Good Relationships Key to Success in Business”.

We noted that Mackay has highlighted three simple rules which can be used throughout our industry to help develop the highest quality distributor relationships:

– If you do not go after what you want, you’ll never have it
– If you do not ask, the answer will always be no
– If you do not step forward, you’ll always be in the same place

Simple yet powerful mantras like this keep us on a consistent pathway to business development excellence. These mantras are true to most businesses. We can attempt to avoid such rules at all costs, clinging to the illusion the past will be tomorrow. Instead we can strive forward knowing that clear, authentic and passionate communication is at the heart of developing highest quality and sustainable relationships with our distributors.
